Money Magnet

Is This Your Real Estate Agent?

I was approached by another real estate firm today complementing me on my success in my real estate business and trying to recruit me because of my sales ability. This is not the first time that I have been approached. Let me just say, I will NEVER join a company whose culture includes the sort of exercises that this company promotes (even if it does a lot of good in other areas).

Who you hire to sell your most valuable asset is an important choice. Would you hire one of the agents in the videos below after watching them in roll around on the ground chanting “I’m a great salesperson, I’m a money magnet!” while their colleagues shower them with dollar bills?

What a demoralizing activity not to mention that it is also being filmed and displayed publicly on the internet. From what I understand the training does not come cheap either. You have to pay to be a part of this.

I have several friends that work for this company and they have expressed how embarrassed they are for their fellow agents that have paid and are encouraged to attend this workshop.

Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of good agents at this company. I have been on both sides of the transaction with many of them. This is just not the type of company culture that I would want to be associated with, and for those reasons please stop trying to recruit me.  It is not going to happen.

I’m still happy to show my clients your listings and I am happy to work with your agents who bring buyers to mine, just please keep the chants to yourself.
